First piece of double page spread research

Layout:
I think that the layout in this double page spread is quite unusual. Although it is two different images on the pages, with the same colour scheme and the white title overlapping the images it brings the two pages together into a pleasant looking double page spread.
Mise-en-scene:
The mise-en-scene is looking at everything in the photograph from the girl and what she is wearing to what is in the scene. I really like the way she is dressed as it is very simple so it doesn't take your eye completely away from the interview on this page.
Camera angles:
I believe that the camera angles of these images and the composition work really well to make the page feel like it all fits. The editing of this also works as both of the images have the girl on the outside facing into the middle so it draws your eye into a large empty space in the middle which is where the interview has been written. The image on the left uses a mid shot, but you still can't see her face which I think intrigues you. From a girls point of view it may make you wonder what her face looks like. Then the image on the right is a long shot so you can see her whole body including costume.
Fonts:
The fonts fit in very well with what the magazine is telling you as the title is 'i've got pretty dreams' and that is clearly written in a very pretty and classy font. Whereas the rest of the writing is very simple and easy to read which I find works very well.
Content:
The content in this magazine is an interview with questions that might be very interesting for fans of this girl. The sort of questions that could be asked in a music magazine could be things like 'When is your next tour? Whats your favourite song from your first album? Who features next in one of you songs?
Colours:
I really think that the colours in this double page spread work well as they are very different and eye catching. I really like the black and white effect with the tint of pink. I would be hoping that this would link with something else in the article, like when I was looking at front covers and found a front cover with a girl with bright red lips and a matching bright red title which seemed to make the whole page all look like it fits in well together.
Unsuccessful:
The one thing that I do find unsuccessful about this double page spread is that with the white text it can be very hard to read where the background is very light as well. But even if the writing was black the same problem would occur over the dark bits. I am going to have to be careful in what colours to use so it doesn't just look good, it is practical as well as it is a magazine so you definitely need to be able to read it!
